Indonesia is famous for its ranges of beautiful mountain. Many of them are so mountaineering destination, of course, with varying difficulty. This is, 5 mountain is classified as ‘dangerous’ to climb, even for the professionals.

Each mountain has the uniqueness of each. Height, structure, vegetation, up the path to the peak was varied. Indonesia grateful to have a row of beautiful mountain to climb. But, some of which have a fairly vicious path. It takes a high level of knowledge and professionalism to get past the wild.

According to Harley Bayu Sastha, author of the book series ‘Mountain Climbing for Everybody’ as well as an electronic magazine editor Mountmagz. Harley describes five mountain climbers who are not suitable for beginners. The main reason, of course safety.

“Climbing the fifth must use the services of a guide, or at least the locals who know the terrain and trails,” said Harley.

But if you are an experienced climber, the fifth mountain climbing could be a reference to the next. Beauty challenge!

A. Mount Carstensz, Papua

It seems impossible that the highest mountain in Indonesia was easy to climb. With a height of 4884 meters above sea level, peak Carstensz is the only place in Indonesia wiht eternal snow-capped. The cold air would be a major obstacle. On the slopes, the temperature can reach 10 degrees Celsius. The closer to the peak, the temperature can be up to 0 degrees Celsius!

No wonder hypothermia and AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) major obstacles to the ascent. Thin oxygen makes all the hikers easily tired, and prone to hallucinations and headaches.

But if you reach the top of Carstensz, you managed to conquer one of the Seven Summits. Yes, the top of Carstensz is one of the seven highest point in the world!

2. Mount Latimojong, South Sulawesi

As the highest mountain in South Sulawesi Province, the mountain grandeur Latimojong is inevitable. This mountain has seven peaks, the highest named Rante Mario in 3680 masl altitude. Impassable terrain is quite heavy. Steep track, and through dense rainforests that make more dense fog. Getting to the top, the cold air piercing the skin.

Sometimes you have to pass through the swift river just by walking on thin wood on it. At some point, the climber must also pursue a cliff edge and clung to the tree roots. Do not forget to wear gloves if you do not want to get hurt!

Peaked need to fight extra hard. After passing through several hills and dense forests, you are still faced with a cliff that has an extreme tilt. Some of which reached 70 degrees! Therefore it takes some rigging equipment to climb.

3. Mount Leuser, Aceh

Four lanes in Mount Leuser was opened by the Wanadri team. One of them died while crossing the great river rapids. Looks like this is enough to make many people feel the Gunung Leuser have a high level of difficulty to climb.

As part of the Mount Leuser National Park, the highest peak of this mountain there at an altitude of 3404 masl. To reach its peak, it takes 9-10 days depending on weather and physical condition of the climbers. Multiplied by two if you count the way home. Even before it reached the top, you have to pass through seven mountain again!

On the 8th day you will arrive at Bipak cans. Named so because there are a lot of tin cans, food scraps that are dropped by helicopter for climbers who run out of supplies. But do not worry, from here, the journey ‘only’ 7-8 hours to the summit.

According to the site Belantara Indonesia, the majority of the vegetation in the Mount Leuser is rainforest with the level density and high humidity. Sumatran tigers and rhinos still found here. Because of the dangerous terrain, hikers should take care of the licensing of several parties including the Southeast Aceh police chief, also climbing certificate and medical certificate.

4. Mountain Raung (Roar), East Java

Mount Raung occupy three of the regions of Jember, Bondowoso, and Banyuwangi. The peak is located at an altitude of 3332 meters above sea level, has an oval caldera with a depth of approximately 500 meters.

At the beginning of the climb, the road winding up and down with the contour to a height of about 1,600 meters above sea level. After that, the climb is getting hard. The steep track, and pathways increasingly difficult to discern. Bushes grew so thick.

Peak Raung called “True Peak “, “Puncak Sejati” in locals. To achieve this, the climbers have to climb with rigging. The track is very difficult, with a ravine on the left and right.

Apart from that, Mountain Raung also famous for haunted. This can be seen from the names of his post, namely Pondok Sumur (well hut), Pondok Demit (demon hut), Pondok Mayit (corpse hut) and Pondok Angin (wind hut).

5. Mount Kerinci, Jambi

Kerinci is the highest mountain in Sumatra, 3805 masl. The mountain is entered into the National Park area of Kerinci Seblat (TNKS). The track was initially quite easily, through the fields and plantations have local residents. Growing up, the track will be even steeper until it is very steep.

Is also a difficulty, the ban for climbers to spend the night at an altitude less than 1,500 meters above sea level. This is because of the many wild animals that still roam, such as the Sumatran tiger. These animals will avoid the cold air at night, and rest under that level. With the track’s steep, it is certainly difficult for climbers that fatigue.

When struggling with a steep track, cold wind was constantly approached. The climbers were so easily get tired and shivering, making the whole body becomes stiff. Quite often hail ensued, so hiportermia be very likely to occur.

If a vacation to this country, one thing that cannot be missed is to explore the desert. The most fun, with driving a car!

Given this country has a vast desert, we did not miss a chance to explore it. Dessert Safari is the name for this adventure. The desert near here in the south of Doha.

Before leaving, make sure to tell the driver if you felling drunk. Well, about what kind of trip you?

At the beginning of the journey, Nissan Patrol SUV that carries us along at 100 km / h. After passing through an industrial area, we arrived at the outskirts of the desert. We pause to reduce tire pressure in order to tread the better car in the desert.

Well, suddenly remembered the Paris-Dakar rally, rally the world’s most legendary. We realized why new cars like the Land Cruiser SUV became the biggest-selling car here.

The adventure begins! Expanse of desert land like so easy for our cars. Although a bit scary, we drove with the smooth in the desert. Suddenly, Sammy took the car down a steep cliff! Slope about 45 degrees, with the condition of the car that almost overturned. Some people spontaneously shouting!

Fortunately the desert sand was still able to hold our cars. The car was moving again, up and down the cliff. Our car finally stopped, right on the border of Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Shoreline can be seen from here.

A few moments later we were invited into the tent around a typical resort community. On the way, we had passed several times by another troupe. They also explore the desert by driving an SUV like the Hummer H3 and Nissan X-Trail.

Apparently, the hot desert and barren is a favorite place to travel in the Middle East countries. If a visit to Qatar and neighboring countries, do not forget to do this fun activity so!
